The User Experience Designer will work with the UX Team to create innovative solutions to user problems aligned with our product direction. The User Experience Designer will collaborate with other User Experience Designers, Project Managers, User Researchers, and Engineers in create, implement, and advocate for research-backed solutions across product teams.The User Experience Designer will work within Product Engineering’s UX Team and will have the agency to iterate, ideate, design, deploy, and evaluate new features to hone Orbis Operations portfolio of products.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the product development effort within Orbis, creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designsWork with User Researchers and Front-End Engineers to mock, test, and improve our product’s user experience.Translate complex problems into elegant, user-centered solutionsPresent and justify design decisions based on research and dataContribute to and maintain our design system leveraging UX best practicesCollaborate with developers to ensure design implementation meets expectationsBe available for team core hours from 1pm-5pm ET.Uphold all team responsibilities outlined in our team charter.Skills, Knowledge And Expertise3 to 5 years of experience required.A portfolio that highlights your design process and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.Solid understanding of user-centered design principles.Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction, or related discipline OR Four (4) years of design experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.A sense of curiosity about users, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire for collaboration.Nice To HaveBackground in front-end software development, especially Typescript or JavaScript.Experience conducting user research and usability testing.Experience facilitating user-centered design workshops.Experience working with Artificial Intelligence, government contracting, and OSINT software.Company CompetenciesAgility: Our team comprises subject matter experts and leaders from government, defense and the private sector who know our clients’ spaces inside and out.
