Job Description

As a Sr. UX Designer, you’ll apply user-centered design principles to improve the workflow and enhance the visual appeal of websites and mobile apps.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with an open and motivated team designing digital experiences that solve agency missions.
• Own the Interface and Interaction Design – leading user experience strategy, improvement assessments, information architecture, wireframes, and user research activities.
• Strategize about how to integrate web, mobile, data, and emerging platforms into seamlessly interconnected ecosystems.
• Take part in the Agile process, grooming different solutions to challenges.
Requirements:
• Active Secret security clearance or higher.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or similar concentration.
• 5-7 years of experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies.
• Experience gathering requirements from users and stakeholders, defines information architecture, creates sample user personas, and documents user workflow.
• Experience performing user research and usability testing and facilitates focus groups.
• Applying the results from user research and usability testing to create new features and improve current features.
• Experience translating information into UIs and Interactions.
• Understanding of common software development and agile development practices.
• Experience creating User Stories while working with business analysts to develop acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with various graphic design software packages.
• Experience designing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, as well as visual design comps.
• Knowledge of visual design and wireframing/prototyping tools.
• Working knowledge of design patterns and pattern libraries.
• Experience with Section 508 compliance.
