About the position

The Principal UI/UX Designer will play a pivotal role in developing a revolutionary music discovery platform at Harman. This position offers the opportunity to be part of the founding team, making critical design decisions that will shape the user experience and overall success of the product. The role requires a blend of creativity, leadership, and technical skills to deliver an engaging and modern user interface that integrates various technologies.

Responsibilities
• Operate in a fast-paced, startup-like environment to launch a new business within Harman.

• Lead the design of intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces.

• Make critical early-stage design decisions to set the stage for long-term success.

• Serve as an in-house authority on UI/UX design principles and best practices.

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for the platform.

Requirements
• 10+ years in UI/UX design.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a design role, with the ability to mentor and guide other designers.

• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.

• Proficient with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.

• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
