Remote UI/UX Designer – WhatJobs Direct

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Remote UI/UX Designer to craft intuitive and engaging digital experiences for their suite of applications. This is a fully remote position, perfect for a designer who thrives in a collaborative, virtual environment. You will be responsible for the entire design process, from user research and wireframing to prototyping and high-fidelity visual design. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, a keen eye for aesthetics, and the ability to translate complex user needs into elegant and functional interfaces. Your work will be crucial in enhancing user satisfaction and driving product adoption.
Responsibilities: Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to understand user needs and pain points. Create user personas, journey maps, and information architecture to define product structure. Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts. Design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces for web and mobile applications. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the design and development lifecycle. Iterate on designs based on user feedback, A/B testing, and performance data. Maintain and evolve design systems, style guides, and component libraries. Stay current with the latest UI/UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Advocate for the user and champion design thinking within the organization. Present design solutions and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design. Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions for digital products. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision. Solid understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and visual design aesthetics. Experience conducting user research and usability testing. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
