UI/UX Specialist – Salesforce Federal Delivery (Cleared – Secret)
Location: Remote/Hybrid (US-based, DC Metro Area). In-person expectations include visits with customers, Salesforce offices, and to Thunder offices in Tysons Corner, VA.
Employment Type: This is a contingent role based upon a successful bid award.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a visionary UI/UX Specialist to serve as the cornerstone of our federal practice. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives on the challenge of designing intuitive, accessible interfaces and navigating the complexities of federal compliance (Section 508). You will have the autonomy to shape our design posture while working with the latest cloud technologies to support our most mission-critical customers.
In this role, you won’t just be following a checklist; you’ll be steering the user experience integrity of our solutions. You will be part of a team pioneering how Salesforce and Amazon cloud environments are experienced by federal agencies, ensuring our impact is felt across the entire brand.
Responsibilities:
• Experience Design: Lead the design and implementation of intuitive, accessible user experiences that meet stringent federal requirements and Section 508 compliance.
• Interface Architecture: Manage and oversee the end-to-end design of UI components within Salesforce and AWS environments to ensure all solutions remain user-centric and audit-ready.
• Accessibility Leadership: Drive the accessibility testing and validation process, coordinating with internal teams and federal stakeholders to navigate security and usability assessments.
• Design Engineering: Implement advanced prototyping and wireframing tools to visualize complex data flows across Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Agentforce.
• Mentorship: Provide UX/UI guidance and best practices to development and consulting teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Product Alignment: Maintain and apply expert knowledge of Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) and federal design standards.
Qualifications:
• US Citizenship required.
• Active Security Clearance required (Secret).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5-7+ years of experience designing intuitive, accessible architectures and managing UX/UI cycles within federal frameworks.
• Significant experience with the Salesforce suite of products, especially Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and/or Agentforce.
• Deep familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards and the federal design system requirements.
• Proven leadership skills and experience in managing design for large, complex federal projects.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to align creative solutions with federal business objectives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Certifications: Salesforce UX Designer certification, or equivalent (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group, HFI) (Preferred).
