Aretum is seeking a creative and motivated User Experience (UX) Design Specialist – Contingent to enhance our design team. In this role, you will focus on elevating the user experience of our clients, primarily within the government sector, by creating engaging and efficient user interfaces that simplify complex processes.As a UX Design Specialist, you’ll employ user-centered design principles to oversee the end-to-end design process. This includes conducting user research, developing personas and user journeys, creating wireframes and prototypes, and performing usability testing to ensure that the end products meet user needs and expectations.Responsibilities Include:Conduct stakeholder and user research, including journey mapping and persona developmentLead ideation sessions and translate findings into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using FigmaCollaborate with developers, product owners, and accessibility architectsEnsure designs meet accessibility (Section 508) and usability standardsPresent design concepts and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholdersRequirements:5+ years of UX design experience in an Agile environmentDemonstrated expertise in the full UCD lifecycleProficiency in Figma (preferred), FigJam, or similar toolsExperience designing for Section 508 complianceStrong communication and presentation skillsAretum is committed to fostering a workplace rooted in excellence, integrity, and equal opportunity for all.
