Business Technology Integrators (BTI) A Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business with over 25 years of experience delivering innovative IT solutions to the Federal Government, is seeking a Lead UX/IX Designer to support DHS US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Responsibilities: Lead the user experience and user interaction design of complex, enterprise-level services and systems. Work closely with USCIS staff and DevSecOps team members (business analysts, UX/IX designers, engineers, technical leads) to design solutions that meet business objectives. Understand the functional and technical landscape to design effective solutions for users. Serve as a consultant to USCIS business representatives, SMEs, and other non-designers, emphasizing the importance of design in product development and suggesting organizational tactics for improvement. Collaborate with other UX professionals across teams to develop standards and address user problems. Coordinate with other Lead UX/IX Designers on technical direction and standard frameworks for design-led solutions. Ensure all user interfaces are Section 508-compliant and maintain compliance with Section 508 standards. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related fields. Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in UX/IX architecture and design for enterprise applications. Strong understanding and experience in designing complex, enterprise-level services and systems. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with client and contractor staff. Proficiency in interaction design theories, creating prototypes with HTML and CSS, or using online tools like Figma. DHS requires Section 508-compliant user interfaces.
